County Police/Mount Kisco

Nov. 20: Croton Avenue resident called the police at 11:40 to report that a tree was on his property and in danger of falling onto Saw Mill River Parkway. A police officer arrived on the scene and discovered that the tree had fallen onto a nearby wooded property, but not onto the parkway.

Nov. 20: Lexington Avenue Business owner reported at 1:12 p.m. that someone had dropped an empty White Claw container on his property. It was from a vehicle that passed by.

Nov. 20: A report of a verbal fight between tenants was received by an officer at Barker Street’s laundry room. One tenant reported that an argument brokeout after the other tenant tried to remove his clothing from the dryer, even though he requested it not. The man pointed out that there were other dryers free of charge.

Nov. 21: One resident reported that someone used her name to get cable TV service from Hartford, Conn at 12:31. After receiving a bill, the woman found out about this. The woman notified the cable company about the fraud. She was also directed to notify the police while the company investigates.

Nov. 21: North Bedford Road workers reported to police that a man dressed in a white van had stolen cooking oil from a nearby fast-food restaurant. Officers searched the area, but couldn’t locate the van. For further investigation, the matter was handed to a detective.

Nov. 22: Due to a dispute between landlord and tenant, officers arrived at New Castle Drive at 10.05 am. The tenant was contesting the paperwork issued by the court authorizing the landlord to inspect the premises. The landlord agreed to inspect the exterior and do a cleanup, but he would not enter until he had received court paperwork specifically authorizing an interior examination.  

North Castle Police Department

Nov. 21: Fox Run called to report that he had thrown fire embers in the woods and it caught fire. 60 Control received the call. The responding officer reported that there was no fire. Matter adjusted.

Nov. 22: A caller reported at 8 :50 a.m. there was a dead raccoon on Route 22 and it was creating a safety hazard for motorists. The responding officer reported that he had moved the animal to the side. For cleanup, the state Department of Transportation was notified.

Nov. 22: Report of a North Broadway woman who left a dresser on the street at 5:08 p.m. The state DOT was notified.

Pleasantville Police Department

Nov. 23: At 9:39 AM, it was reported that one of Jean-Jacques’ planters on Bedford Road and Marble Avenue had some graffiti. It was 9:39 AM. The planter was repainted.

Nov. 25: According to reports, a house on Great Oak Lane was egged at 10.52 a.m.

Nov. 25: Pleasantville woman reports that she received many annoying phone calls at 5:01 p.m.

Nov. 27: Report of a possible harassment at Foley’s on Bedford Road at 1:38 a.m. The woman was reported to have tried to buy a cigarette from two men. The woman then had an argument with one man, calling her a fat pork. It was determined that it wasn’t harassment and the parties were sent away.

State Police/Cortlandt

Nov. 10: Police are trying to find a person wearing a mask that used stolen credit cards for multiple purchases at different locations in Ossining and Cortlandt totaling $1173. The suspect is wearing a blue Jays baseball cap, a black Carhartt zip up jacket with tan Carhartt lettering down one side, black sweatpants, and what appears to have been white and black Nike Air Max Plus shoes. Anybody with information about the identity or whereabouts of the person is asked to call the state police at 914-769-2600. Refer to case #11142797.

Yorktown Police Department

Nov. 19: At 4:40 p.m., a 19-year-old Manhattan resident was charged with petty larceny for stealing $100 worth cooking oil from a container in Little Sorrento, Route 202.

Nov. 21: Julia Branda, 33 years old, from Yorktown, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. on three counts for aggravated driving while under the influence with a child in a car. This is a Class E felony, several misdemeanors as well as traffic infractions after a one-car collision on Route 6 near the Taconic State Parkway. The three children were all under 15.
